If you drive a Camaro at rush hour but can’t see the other commuters, is there actually any traffic?

You might not see it, but you’ll be sure to hear the crunch.

Not if there's a Mustang in front of you.

Nah the new Camaros just phase through traffic. GM’s new quantum-collision-avoidance is game-changing , but people still won’t buy Camaros bEcAuSe tHe vIsIbILitY

Logically & physically impossible. No Mustang could EVER get in front of a Camaro :P

Nope
Driving should have the same rules as skiing; person in front has right of way and you need to assume they’re gonna stop at any point. This solves visibility issues.

I don't know, but my wife will still want to throw up if she's sitting in the passenger seat or driving. The 6th gen gives new definition to the phrase "back seat driving."

Also would be great if people looked up from their phones faster to see when they need to mush the brakes. My rear-facing dashcam has scary stories to tell.

More than any other car, a Camaro demands you get the seat height settings right. I got used to it pretty quickly once I got the H-point optimized.
But, yeah, the windows are pretty small versus most anything else. GM creates tons of Mustang customers at the “sit down in the showroom Camaro ” moment, because it’s such a jarring vibe.

I test drove a few examples before I dragged my wife to the dealership. We tried everything before we set off but she couldn’t get comfortable. It was so bad that we had to stop the test drive almost immediately when we did finally get going.
Strangely, she didn’t have that reaction to the C7. We test drove another GS today and she was fine. I still think it feels too claustrophobic compared to a C5 or C6, but she was OK and even had fun.
GM in general seems dead set on creating a really short windscreen and side windows across their entire lineup. Even the Silverado has a tiny windscreen compared to its competitors.

I read a while ago the higher belt line styling was at least in part, gender driven - women prefer higher belt lines and less green house. That said I don’t really have that big of an issue with it, a couple fisheyes and make sure to adjust mirrors and it’s fine. Unless you are claustrophobic, (which is a very real thing,) and then maybe a minivan or more traditional SUV might be better.

Ugh you’re giving me PTSD flashbacks of driving with my wife in my 335xi. It’s lowered and has all the bolt ons so it’s bumpy and loud and fast and my tune makes it so silly bubles and pops when letting off the gas or downshifting, and she’s a *terrible* passenger . Even just me heel toeing down a couple of gears before turning into our neighborhood she’s like GAAAAAHHHH WHY SO MUCH NOISE AND ARM MOVEMENT WHAT’S HAPPENING and I’m like babe I’m just downshifting before a turn no race car shit is happening woooosah.

It didn’t really have anything to do with the ride. She didn’t mind my custom C5Z and she loves the C7 GS. She actually enjoyed driving and riding in that car more than I did.
Her only issue with the Camaro was essentially medical. The dash is so high that it feels like you’re sitting in the back seat. And that gives her severe motion sickness. No other car does that to her unless she sits in the back seat, and then it’s just a matter of time.
